Pastor - Rev. Donald Potter

Pastor Donald Potter is a native of Canton, Ohio.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and religion from Spring Arbor College, Spring Arbor, Michigan.  In 1976 Don graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree, concentrating in pastoral theology.  His first call to parish ministry was as Associate Pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church, Kittanning, PA.  From there he served as Associate Pastor at Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church, from 1978 to 2000.  In July of 2000 Don became Pastor of the Presbyterian Congregation of Middletown, Middletown, PA.  As a member of the Presbytery of Carlisle, Don serves on the Committee on Ministry and has just completed serving as a member of the Administrative Commission of the Carlisle Presbytery to dissolve the Olivet Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg.  Don is an active part of the Middletown Ministerium and the Interfaith Council, serving as Chairperson of the Food Pantry Board of Directors.  Don’s hobbies include reading, bird watching and traveling with a special interest in travel on cruise ships.  He is a collector of ship memorabilia.

 

Director of Music - Ellen Hunt

Ellen Hunt, organist and conductor, is a graduate of Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ and Columbia University, NYC. She has been a minister of music at churches in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, and for eighteen years was organist at Market Square Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg.  Her     experience in education includes ten years as Supervisor of Music for the Harrisburg city schools, and Dean of the Mt. Vernon (NY) Music Academy. She has performed as organ recitalist in the U. S. and Europe, was a featured artist at two regional American Guild of Organists conventions, and was organist for the National UCC Women¹s Meeting in Boston. She has two children and two grandchildren.

Newsletter Editor - Patrice Stillwell

Patrice lives in Middletown with her husband and 3 children.  She is a graduate of Middletown Area High School and Millersville University with a BS in Elementary Education.  She enjoys all the challenges of compiling and editing the monthly newsletter, as well as various arts and crafts, and doing things with her family.  She serves as a Sunday School teacher and is involved with the Middletown Area School District PTO.  Patrice also works part-time for Ronald McDonald House Charities in Hershey.

Jay lives in Middletown with his wife of 42 years.  They have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren.  Jay’s interests include fishing and hot rod cars.  He is also a die hard Middletown Blue Raider fan.
